How many of you suffer from Climate Change Overwhelm (CCO)? Whenever I get that overwhelmed feeling I try to take an action to feel more empowered.
One of the quick and easiest actions is to call or write my Representative or Senators to ask them to take climate action.
Most recently, I wrote to my elected officials to ask them to support a new bipartisan bill to introduce a carbon fee and dividend. It would reduce emissions in the US by 40% in 12 years and give every household a monthly dividend check. Win, win!
Members of Congress often say that they don’t hear enough from their constituents that climate change matters to them. But if everyone did this as a regular habit then it would create the political will (and therefore real action) to solve global warming.
